have rung me every hour today and last week. I have answered twice and they ask about my electricity account. I've asked them what company they are with, which apparent "online survey" I recently filled out. (Which I know is a lie because they're using my maiden name which I changed 4 years ago) and they couldn't give me a straight answer. I wish there was a more official way to report this kind of thing! I seem to be getting similar calls more and more.

Just got one as well - strong Indian accent. Seemed to know a lot about my address etc. Obviously spam.

Wanted to talk about by electricity account.

I generally do one of two things depending on my mood. I either talk and make a game out of getting them to either hang up on me, or get angry with me (I've only reached that point once). OR if I don't want to talk to people, I answer my phone and see an 88 89 number or similar, I don't say a word and wait to see if they hang up, or if they say hello in a confused manner, then I refer to option 1. This number I've had numerous calls from and I haven't done too bad because August was the last time this number called.
