Spoke to Apple. Somehow scammers have managed to make it look they are calling via Apple’s Sydney service number. The scammers will speak with poor broken English and sound foreign. They will straight away ask for your full name and DOB without saying their first name. When you tell them you did not ask for a call back they hang up on you. An actual Apple rep wouldn’t

I keep getting calls from this number. They leave no message or text. I am an aged pensioner who never orders anything online. If it is Apple as others have stated I don't know why they'd contact me as I do not own anything from Apple.

It is Apple Support in response to a request for help. Not a scam caller.

I didn’t pick up because I didn’t know the number. Then I realised I went to the Apple store last week and told them to call me at the exact time and day that I got this call. So it’s definitely Apple.

Caller: This number said they were NBN calling about issues with my internet

Told me they would cancel my internet for 20 days due to issues they have identified if I didn’t correct them. When I wasn’t near my computer they hung up. Spoke to my internet provider. Didn’t seem to be then. If this number is also used by Apple I’d be vigilant all

This is Apple's outgoing Support Phone Number. Although the team members are located around the globe, they all use this outgoing Support Number when the Caller is based in Australia. If you receive a call from this number and are not expecting one, chances are that they have miss transcribed the phone number of the person they are supposed to be helping.

100% Apple. I'd arranged a callback, and missed the call.

Four calls on my new cell phone number (only 3 weeks old) on a Samsung phone. Caller began apologising for my problem - which I don't have - so cut her off as this is clearly a scam using Apple's support number.

If you have an apple product this is the number they will return your call after you have called for their help.

I’m glad I answered as it was Apple asking me to verify that I had just ordered an iPhone. I checked the bank and someone had been having $3000 worth of fun with my credit card. It’s not a scam call.

Not a scam. It’s Apple Support. They’re calling your because you’ve submitted a request or enquiry. If you haven’t, then perhaps they were given the wrong number.

This is the main outgoing call number from Apple Support to Australian customers. Confirmed by multiple missed call email advice and was expecting them to call anyway.
