Go to https://www.donotcall.gov.au/index.cfm and join the Do Not Call Register and the calls will stop.

Missed calls every day this week. Am at home today and they have called 4 times and hung up! Have tried answering as a business and with 'hello' and with silence but no one speaks then they hang up - fair dinkum!!

Nearly every day to my mobile at the moment - NOT HAPPY JAN.   If you call them back (I did from a land line) there is a message saying "You have been contacted by a hosted contact  centre service, you may be called in the future.  Goodbye”.   Even if you answer the call there is no one there.  Someone suggested it may be a call centre/spam type place checking for line availability

As soon as you answer the phone number it hangs up. I agree with AL's response:
"This is just an idea, but I reckon its a call centre with an automated dialer. It's dialing numbers in a sequential order and determining whether there is an answer or a 'voice' at the other end. If there is, this goes into a database and you've unknowingly confirmed that there is someone on that line, at that time."

Telstra or someone should do something about it. It gets annoying.
