It's slightly comforting to know that I'm not the only one getting these odd calls.  I'm at a lost as to why it's complete silence on the other end each time I pick up and certainly a fruitless venture trying to call the number back and no one ever answers me! Do they actually want something for me or is it their goal to periodically annoy the living crap outta me?

Does anyone know if the ombudsman is aware of these nuisance calls?

Whats the go with this? I've missed a call from this number twice and when I return the call I get no dial tone?

im getting these all the time. i looked up their number on yellow pages, called the 1800 number and told them its annoying the h*ll out of me. she was more than happy to take my number off the list. lets hope that stops it

I answered the phone (deliberately) quick enough to actually be the person they pick up. It's a company called ICT that is marketing on behalf on clients such as Dodo and Westpac.
Complain to the represented company about the harassing nature of ICT, and how they are driving people away from them. How it will cost them money, and potentially make them liable for causing this harassment by paying ICT to do what it does.
