Called many times in the past few days. Answered the called today, but other side hung up after 5 seconds or so without saying anything. Should have googled the number first before answering. I have blocked it.

Giving any information to some random on the phone is incredibly dumb.

Mine is an unlisted number for an employer provided mobile. Getting any calls unrelated to work on this phone is more than a nuisance as calls to my work phone trigger a call to arms response. How do these companies get access to these numbers?

Caller: It was a scammer, they pretend to be calling on behalf of a legetimate government department and conducting a survey.They will then use the information that you give them, often for identity theft purposes and also to onsell your private information to other scammers and spam callers etc.

Its a scammer pretending to be from a legitimate government department , don't give them any information no matter how genuine they pretend to be.

Engine Research company doing market research on health for people living in NSW. Very polite. Numbers they call are auto generated.

All they do is call, leaving their number and hang up.
Fed up with this type of call.

they've called me multiple times after i've told them to stop, even though i've blocked their number i get the spam notifications which is a bit frustrating sometimes

Well done, now they know you are a live number. They will pass you onto their cousins at other call centres.

Indian call centre. Spoke to a very talkative person. Told me he loved Australia and wanted to come here to make money. Money that he could send back to his family & relatives, and 1st cousin whom he planned to marry one day. Then he asked me if I could be his sponsor?

Keeps ringing my mobile (nearly every day) but never leaves a message. Feeling harassed so have block the number.

Been receiving calls almost daily. Tried calling back and the call disconnected immediately. They can call as much as they like from now on. Number blocked.

Haven't answered but it's been 4 days and they've been calling me every day...
