Same as other comments. Had this number call a few times with same message (you are about to be arrested for tax evasion blah blah blah). Total scam.

Same message to me "tax avoidance arrest threat" I'm retired so "what the....?"

Called me two days in a row. Obviously a scam. I've reported it to the authorities, lets just hope they get caught and justice is served.

I rang back asked which ATO branch ru from and ur name and what is my tax file no>> Thy hung up biggest load of sh*t don't give up any info it's an absolute scam ....... Andf A crackly line from an overseas 3rd world country didn't help neiyher ...... But I had fun drilling m ......

As above. Stating accounts blocked due to tax evasion, threatening warrants for arrest, Claimed to be Roy Miller from Australian Tax Office. Called me a liar when he was challenged, stated police would call me in 45 minutes, they didn't, reported to ATO and ACORN

Today the message said the caller was from the tax office and I am wanted for Tax evasion.......another day another story ...

Told me a warrant for my arrest had been issued for tax evasion and to get my lawyer to call this number

Just received a call saying we were being monitored for tax evasion. The call back number was (02) 8880 0193. I missed the call however they left a long and detailed message on the message bank service.

Claims to be ATO after me for tax evasion with threats of putting out a warrant for my arrest if I don't call back. Foreign accent. I call BS big time.
Not sure if I should call back just to mess with them cos it stressed me out for half a day thinking about it as I haven't submitted a tax return for ~3year as I've not had any taxable income, till I looked this up. MOFO's

Got a call from this number today. Sounded threatening!! Saying I was involved in tax fraud and he (with indian accent) asked me my TFN which I refused. He then said police is 45 minutes away from giving an arrest warrant. He mentioned my address and also asked if I had a criminal lawyer.

I just got home to find this gem on my answering machine! Foreign accent which, I must say, sounded "automated", as opposed to an actual flesh-and-blood bastard!

I'm squeaky-clean and live well within the law (I'm not even "creative" on my tax returns), so I will not be losing any sleep over this...
