Caller: (02) 8776 3820 Jade from "Australia Post" called our business wanting to do some housekeeping on our account. Rattled off a few details that could all be found online, then rattled off an old address. Aus post who we deal with daily, would surely have a current address. Assume its a scam to add the business to phishing schemes or whatever these weirdos do

Caller: Australia Post Call from Andrea at AusPost. As I had a scam caller previously about Auspost, i asked her for a few details (like my account number and what was my last transaction (detail and amount) in FY24) - both answered correctly.

Caller: Jade from Australia Post Scam caller claiming to be from Australia Post. My phone identified the call was coming from Liverpool, NSW. The caller was a woman who said her name was Jade from Australia Post. She was ringing about my inactive MyPost Business account and wanted to confirm if my details were correct and up-to-date. This person must have had access to my MyPost Business account information as she then asked me to confirm the following information:
Asked if my name is… Asked if my MyPost Business account name is… Asked why I have been inactive Asked if my mobile number is the one she called that ends in… Asked if my email is… Asked if I have an ABN... Asked if my home address is…. And is that also the billing address
She then asked if I would be interested in a band 3 MyPost Business discount, which I said yes to. Shortly after the call I was sent a suspicious email from Asta Marach (astayei.marach @ busgov.auspost.com.au) posing as Australia Post with phishing links and a fake discount code to activate through the link. I deleted the email and blocked the number.

Caller: Jade from "Australia Post" Jayde advised that they hadn't made contact in 2 years (not true, they call us regularly every week or so) and Australia Post were wanting to talk about the upcoming Christmas period and confirm some details. She said she would send through an email about the Christmas period and it would basically be talking about getting parcels in early because it is peak season. I told her I was skeptical and this number is registered as a scam number. She then gave me our Account Number for Aust Post which I can't verify as I can't see any Account Number on our Aus Post invoices. After the call, she sent a dodgey email, clearly spam, it was sent from: jayde.williams79 @ busgov.auspost.com.au. The email read: Thanks for taking the time to take my call earlier.
As mentioned on the phone, I wanted to make sure you had access to some materials to help your business through this busy peak sending period.
We've pulled together a range of tools and resources designed to help you stay ahead. From practical shipping and fulfillment tips to insightful data for making informed decisions, we've got you covered.
Here's a quick look at what you'll find: Peak Preparation page: Stay updated on our latest cut-off dates and service changes. Peak Playbook: Your essential guide packed with strategic data and tips to keep things running smoothly. Interactive how-to videos: Best practice guides on packing and sending your orders and creating a positive delivery experience. Merchant messaging guide: Templates to help you communicate the latest delivery information to your customers. Plus, you can find details of the recommended last lodgement dates to give your parcels the best chance of arriving in time for Christmas.
I hope these resources will make a real difference for your business this season.

Caller: Indian accent female SCAM trying to phish details with a fraudster posing as an Australia Post worker calling to give sales advice on Aus Post products. Thick accent hardly understandable. Don’t believe fake reviews here supposedly validating this number. It’s not Australia Post. This call is likely made from an overseas call centre packed with people all making calls to try scan. Do not get into conversation and certainly do not click on any links in an email arriving from (allegedly) Australia Post.

Caller: Ryan? Have received multiple calls from this number. Voicemail left every time. Claims to be from Australia post. Gets my name slightly wrong every time. Hard to understand what he is saying. Phone number says liverpool, but message says ' located in Melbourne'. Very persistent and continues calling every day. I have blocked the number, but it still lets them leave a voicemail. Clearly a scam. This was confirmed by Aus Post as a scam.
