If you say you have been in an accident. You may get a call in the not to distance telling you that you have money owed from the accident and that you need to supply your details so a claim cam be deposited into your bank account - I would say this is scam in progress.

Same thing car accident in three years couldn't make out all he said but did have an English accent

I have just had a call from the same guy Cara , ask for me so in turn I asked who it was , He called me Madam a lot asked him where he was getting his info said to him this is a hoax call , which he didn't like & hung up on me

got a call from this number today (02) 8766 0641 - same thing

Rang and asked me about any motor accident in the last 2 years, I challenged him to tell me the details and he hung up, dead give away it's a scam he called out of business hours

now blocked ... 3 missed calls in 3 days

I have also just had a nuisance call from this very same number ... gentleman with a strong English accent - sounds like Vicky Pollard from Little Britain ... I actually thought it was a mate pulling my leg at first ... spoke very quickly so I couldn't make out where he was calling from but stated wanted to know whether I had had motor vehicle accident in the past 3 years ... he knew my name ... I asked where he was calling from ... he stated Accident Advice Bureau (there is NO AAB in Australia - I checked) ... I asked where he obtained my contact details from ... he stated they get their details from all the major insurance companies ... I know for a fact you have to CONSENT to insurance companies providing your private contact details so I highlighted I had NOT consented to any third parties contacting me by my car insurer and I was at work ... he apologised and I hung up on him ...

was the call about a supposed car accident within the last 3 years ? when i asked them questions they hung up on me but said was from some car accident investigation bureau

Really annoying. I have a private mobile number that I don't give out. How did they get the number. Wish they would go away.

I have received 3 calls on my mobile from this number and when I have tried to call back on both a land line and mobile - a message is returned saying this call can not be connected
