Do NOT give information to people who call you. Just don't.

NEVER give out the password or PIN to anything.

I answered it: allegedly it's Virgin Mobile wanting to give me free credit (automated message). I was put on-hold until a CSR was free and he (1) admitted that they initiated the call, but (2) still wanted to do an ID check. The questions were: - Full name - Mobile phone number - Password to the websiteSounds a bit suspicious to me.Even if it is real, they should know better. Send me an email or an SMS.

it is legit from Virgin, I got it too - legally they need to confirm your ID info when they call to make sure they're talking to the right person...they can't give you bonuses and offers without ensuring they have permission.

there's being wary and then there's tin foil hat wearing, people...they have to adhere to the privacy act so they have to ask you the questions. people would go nuts if they made changes to your account without speaking to you, but you don't want them to have your info to make sure it's you? sheesh

The comments above are likely written by the very people trying to scam you.

I ended up giving my details.. but then my brother told me to change my pin right away... but they had already changed it.. I managed to say i forgot my pin and change it again but yeah don't give your details these guys are so dodgy

If your credit card details are on the site you can get majorly screwed..

I got a call 5 mins ago and didn't answer it. No voicemail was left. Virgin did have a promotion going that if you register and recharge during December you get an extra 10% credit..maybe it's to do with that?Shouldn't have to give them any details though
