Female with Asian accent claiming to be from HSBC rang workplace requesting to speak to an employee (by name). I advised her to contact the person directly herself.

Received a call today at 1:15pm from (02) 8661 1905 and there was a delay, an automated (female) voice then said "This is a call from HSBC, please hold 1 of our service operators will be with you".

We are not customers of HSBC. Did not stay on the line.

This number calls me 4 times a day everyday, including weekends. Doesn't leave a message, don't owe anyone any money, nor do I have an account with HSBC so not answering.

If its HSBC I've never had anything to do with them so no idea why they would be calling. Have blocked the number.

Received numerous calls from this number -- thought it was HSBC, but had my serious doubts it was legitimate (eg SPAM) so ignored calls and rang them directly through their secure line. Confirmed it's NOT HSBC. They said I did the right thing to ignore and contact them directly. From my experience, HSBC wouldn't try to call endless like this.

If you're a HSBC customer -- highly recommend that you contact HSBC through their official phone line and check with them directly on any suspicious calls first always.

I've done the same when I've received emails from a HSBC email address that I had concerns with. Never click on anything, called HSBC and confirmed it was not them. Deleted the email -- HSBC appreciate if you report such things to them too.

To answer an earlier feedback here -- Yes, HSBC has banks in Australia. The staff often calling from Asia though as it's a Hong Kong bank (that's global).

That is right - IF the matter is important enough - SEND A LETTER.

Same issue as everyone else here. HSBC charge significant annual fees then must erode that by following up minuscule debts from customers. They seem not to take into account a customers history and therefore just target any money owed which diminishes customer satisfaction.

I have a personal loan with HSBC and have paid more on repayments. They should not be contacting me. They're asking my birth date etc to confirm who I am. I just hung up and blocked them. They have fake American accents. Let's face it you'd get an e-mail if there was an issue.

I have had a number of calls from this number per day. I have tried to answer, when I do know one starts to talk- I have been hanging up. If it is HSBC, I pay my bill each month... and as someone has already stated, they call even when it isn't over due!!!

Received a call a day for the last week and a half at our head office. Caller claims to be from HSBC, asks for our company's GM, but when I ask what the call is about she says "it's a personal matter" which means "this is a scam and I want to steal your money". So I told her to call his personal number and hung up. Every time I see the number I just hang up straight away and have also advised colleagues to do the same. Might mess with her a bit next time though :)

If it's HSBC calling me 10 times a day for something, why don't they ever leave a message stating what it is... As far as I'm concerned it could be a stalker so I'm never going to answer... But if they left a message stating the issue I might be able to resolve it (provided there is one!) Idiots!!!
