Just received a call from this fellow Terry McClure looking for an immediate family member, declined to tell me which 'databases' he has gotten my mobile number from to call me when I am listed on the 'Do Not Call' register. Also stated my address was on there which was incorrect anyway. He was very polite I will say but the refusal to give me any information about my personal details means I wont be giving him any information about my family members either!

Wanted to get in touch with another family member which of course we declined. Really sounds genuine. Don't fall for it!

These guys call me every day, from different Mobile no's & (02) numbers that start with an 8. I made the mistake of answering a call over two weeks ago they were looking for a member of my immediate family and ever since then they have been harassing me calling me each day from different numbers, they don't leave a message ever. This is a scam debt collector, they buy old debts that aren't valid. Do not answer these calls. I'm on the Do No Call register and I still get these calls, every day!!!

Comes across as very polite but would not provide any details about why he wanted contact details of another person. Do not give him any details.

Called a few times very polite asking to get in touch with a family member. Unsure how he got my contact number even though I’ve signed up on the Do Not Call Register aswell! Don’t bother answering!

Wanted an ex boyfriend to contact him - has been trying to reach him about a sensitive matter. Could not say what company because the wording would give away the nature of the call. I said I would give contact the ex and give him his number.... glad I did as an obvious scam.

Called looking for the contact details of my step-son. Sounded very genuine and professional but I refused to give him the details and instead said I would pass HIS details onto my son. Sent me a text with his details in it. His reluctance to tell me anything at all about where he was calling from was VERY suspicious.

same thing happened to me just now. Weird - very professional and polite but he didn't want to give out too much information to me
