I got a call fro Courtneay (02) 8651 5282 looking for a friend of mine. She found me from my company but I can't see how this connects to a friend unless through Facebook. I asked to speak to her manager and someone calling himself Rob Radvanyi (he spelled it out!) came on the line. He would not identify his organisation or the reason for wanting to contact my friend. I have spoken to my friend and he doesn't know why they are calling but reading the posts it is obvious that are bottom feeding scumbuckets. Give them nothing and if you can find this guy harass him the way he does others. The number he gave me is 02 86 51 57 49. I'm sure they are all telemarketers but they are still scum doing this stuff.

I received a call at my work from a Lili, asking for info about a friend who is currently overseas. I was very suprised she called me at work. I asked what co they were calling from and would not tell me. They said it was a 'personal business call'. Quite contradictory. She asked me to ask my friend to call her on (02) 8651 5254. I called the number back and the person answered with only their first name.
Terribly intrusive and rude. They called my work in the middle of the afternoon. I am so angry they contacted me. I have nothing to do with this person's own financial affairs.

Heads up, I am not even in the country and they are harassing me. They found me on social media and now they call my work every week for something that must have been more than 3 years ago (although I can't be sure, because they will not provide detail). They go from one department to another posing as a disgruntled customer and demand to speak to my manager. They have tried every receptionist at work, harass them, demand to have me called to the phone. When I do speak to them and say that how can I trust someone who lies about who they are, they get angry and tell me that they will give me the information once I have declared who I am. How does that work in terms of ID fraud, especially when I am not even in the country??

I called this number back after my mum received a call to which the man was very vague. I asked which company he was from (credit corp) then he asked for my date of birth, I advised they should have my date of birth, he said quip pro quo he'll give me 1980, I said that is incorrect, he then asked for my address which I said no, he then asked if my middle name started with E I advised no it started with a J, then asked if I worked for Kids Cancer Society and I advised no, he then advised me it was mistaken identity and apologized for calling the wrong person. Don't give them any information.

A debt collector can only contact you 3 times a week. This is by the means of a letter, or message at your work place, mobile phone or at home or even by email. If you have been sent a letter, receive a text message and for instance receive an email ( this is your 3 points of contact)

Yep they are debt collectors, cannot reveal who they are unless they are sure they are talking to the debtor, otherwise it is a breach of privacy. You are within your rights to tell them to go away and cease contacting you by telephone, they cannot compel you to give any answers and if they are ringing family, friends, third parties, they can only do this every 6 months unless the person they are calling consents to more contact. They can contact a debtor 3 times a week in total (so letter, call, email would be a weeks contact) or 10 times in a month, unless the debtor responds and engages with them.

Rang here looking for my daughter. Had her first name and surname right, age right but then when I asked for addresses that they had supposedly sent mail to they were to addresses that my daughter had never even lived at, or near. Plus the date of birth of the person they claim was my daughter wasn't anything near her birthdate.

All the caller said was that she was ringing on a personal matter, wouldn't divulge anything further than that. Had I not done some probing and asked what addresses they had for my daughter, and what date of birth they had I may have fallen for it.

Don't know who they are or what they are about but they are a pain in the neck.

Yep just kept calling & calling saying it was urgent. If it's a debt collector they shouldn't be calling more than once a day. Disgusting.

Refused to give details.

They are trying to contact a relative. Extremely rude and intrusive. Constantly ringing and refusing to say who they are or what they want. Just that it's a very urgent personal matter. When asked if life threatening or financial, state they cannot advise, but CAN ask as many personal questions as they want. These type of people should be banned from harassing innocent people.

Did you find out who this is?
I've had a call from them today asking about a friend who moved to another country a year ago. Regarding a very urgent personal matter.
