Said they were from Telstra we’re going to give me 50% off my bill what a croc of sh*t Telstra would never do that

Caller: John from Vodafone

Indian John from Vodafone called offering me 40% off my bill.
When I said I wasn’t interested, immediate hang up. SCAM

Caller: Latitude credit card - Comm bank

Said someone spend 1+k on my card which i dont own it

A man with an Indian accent called saying he was John from Amazon and said I had an outstanding purchase of over $1200 on my account for an iPhone 14. When I said I didn't know about that purchase he said someone was using my IP address to make these transactions. I played dumb and wasted his time for 17 minutes, with him telling me to download Anydesk and give him Unattended Access to my phone. He hung up when I said I was on a video call with my friend from the Australian Federal Police, because there are a lot of scam calls going around lately. I received a similar call yesterday but they hung up when I said I don't have an Amazon account. If you know what you're doing, waste their time. Those 17 minutes of me stringing them along is 17 minutes less that they're able to scam someone who'll fall for it!
