Claims to be from Commonwealth Bank. If legitimate, the Bank is treating its customers like dumb idiots by saying they are from Commonwealth bank then asking for identity information before proving who they are!!!!!!!.

Said it was Commonwealth Bank. Told me they were ringing regarding an enquiry I had made 4 days previously. Told him I had made no enquiry. He quite cheerfully said ok and didn't elaborate on the enquiry. Left me puzzled and suspicious about call. Also took a few seconds to talk after I had answered the phone so I suspect it might be telemarketing or scam.

I got missed call so called back told me it was com bank I wood not discuss any thing to anyone about my banking over the phone and hung up.

Commonwealth Bank, Blacktown. Very real, nota scam.

They are probably legit but when they asked me to confirm my D.O.B. I paused and said no and asked what the call was about. They basically want you to call a branch and discuss your accounts. I said, "No worries, I'll give my branch a call."

I called back number (02) 8629 4000 reached IVR for a company called Commonwealth Bank.
