Some Company claiming to be a website company of some sort, claiming they can give you better Google rating or something - a waste of time

Just received a call from the above number.
The person spoke in a heavy indian accent, it was hard to understand and all I managed to understand was website.
He then started talking so fast that I requested him to stop reading off the page.
He hung up!!!

Called about "compensation" for road accident. Seems like a scam to steal identity as they just asked a bunch of questions. Unfortunately I gave them some information before I realized, as I had recently been in an accident. Block this number, clearly nothing legitimate coming from here.

Just got a call from this number a man with a very heavy Indian accent saying he was from some company that my windows computer needed fixing when I said I have virus protection he then said yes ma'am but this virus protection doesn't always work I then started to say look I know this a scam you can hang up started to yell at me saying it wasn't a scam how come he's able to get my number blah blah blah. I then told I don't have a windows computer I have apple he started asking me where is your Apple computer. I hung up on him he called me back I didn't say anything he hung up again never called back looked up the number and what do you know I was right it's a scam!

Something about Google. I asked her to put on somebody who spoke English or Australian. She hung up.

It's a Pakistani scam

Called the number back. Call center. Said there was a code problem with my website, without even knowing what my website was!

I have had numerous calls from this number over the past few mths after renewing my web addr for my busing but today was the last straw with nearly 20 calls between my home and mob numbers. as per all above said he was from Smeagol (has cleared up his accent slightly as I though it was asian to start with) Glad I found this page.

Scam callers pretending to call about "errors" in our website.
Got very aggressive when I told him about all the complaints already existing on this number.
Told me they were in Melbourne when district code is clearly 02! Can't even do their research properly

I'm on the do not call list - still received a nuisance marketing call from this number, sounded as thought redirected from overseas. Get on the first page of google scam.

Called me & said Hi my name is asahn or something, with an indian accent i hung up on him & he rang back & told me I was rude to hang up on him!

Claiming to be from a company called Smeagol Web and your website has multiple SEO errors after claiming he'd spoken with you a couple months ago. After calling him on his bs claim and asking why I should trust his company after lying I got the sales pitch of how he can show me the errors with my website and tried to setup a online meeting where he could point out these issues. Said ok I will call you back give me your number which landed me here.

How can a business with no web presence by name even think to sell on SEO. SCAM

Claiming to be calling from EMEC and wanted to discuss my website. Apparently there were errors in the coding preventing it to be placed on Google search. Definitely a scam.

Scammers! Claimed they were a website company, and that they had gone through the backend of the website and found 'Coding Errors' which were causing issues with Google rankings! Plain Scammers!
