Got call and I answered, got a recorded message saying "sorry there is no one to take your call at the moment" - Blocked.

Caller from Insight on behalf of the Heart research institute. I am on the DO NOT CALL register and she didn't seem to understand why that would be an issue with an unsolicited call asking for donations.

When people call me and won't leave a message, it's an automatic block from me.

Expecting a call when this number called without caller ID. When I answered after 3 rings, the caller hung up. I suspect it was either someone calling to case the house for anyone at home, a spammer, a robot call or someone seeking donations. Either way, no message left so as a result, the number has been flagged as undesirable by me. My number is registered on the pathetic “Do Not Call Register” but appears that it is no deterrent for incoming calls. Perhaps the law needs to be changed to block ALL calls, regardless of who they are. Eg Political, charity or surveys etc. Even a law to make it compulsory for these leaches to at least leave a message as to who and why they are calling. Much prefer an opt in service, rather than random calling without leaving a message.

Sure it is asking for donations. Have rung almost every day for the last two weeks.

Caller: Salvation Army

Answered an incoming call from (02) 8357 6751, greeted by using my real name, got a spiel about the good work of Salvation Army which I am aware of and told the person that I contribute to various charities anyway, they simply request/suggest that people donate $10 a month instead of lump sums or infrequent donations people make.
Excuse me!! That part does not interest me at all, and the call politely ended

On answer I got a recorded message! WTF. I hanged up.

This person identified himself as calling from Heart Research Institute for donation and raffle. Not sure if he was employed directly by HRI or a telemarketer. Number is now blocked anyway.

No idea who they are but they have rung my landline every day at 9am for the past week. It’s so annoying. Can’t they take a hint and leave me alone.

Didn't leave a message when I was unable to answer the call

This number called but did not leave a message, most annoying. I never answer calls that I don't know, even though we run a small business from home and we don't do business out of our State. If a message is left, I will return the call. Thanks everyone, I have now blocked.

I blocked this number at the beginning of August but I see they try to call practically every day - you would think by now they would get the message.

I have been overseas for 3 weeks. This number called 11 times while I was away. No message left. Blocked

Didn't take the call as it is unlikely anyone from 02 area would be calling me. No message left so assume it was either a wrong number or spam call of some sort.
