Caller: "John" from Telstra

Said he was John from Telstra and that there's some problem with my internet connection. Wanted me to get onto my computer, which I pretended to do, and then get on to Google and type stuff in, which I didn't do and he got annoyed with me. I asked where he was calling from, he said Australia. I said I don't have Telstra, he said "How do you know if I'm from Telstra", um, because you told me. I asked him how he got my number, as I have a silent number. He got all weird and said he was trying to help me. I told him that I wonder what motivates someone to scam people for a living, and asked if his family knows what he does. He started arguing with me. I was kind of having fun with the whole thing, so I told him off for scamming people and told him it's a pretty low thing to do and he kept denying it was a scam and getting quite worked up. I ended up hanging up because my kids were hassling me (I'd locked myself in the bathroom) and getting hassled by people on the phone and in real life is a bit much.
