My elderly father received an SMS from this number. The message was from "Mike" from "PayPal", and was regarding a transaction supposedly made on my father's PayPal account. The thing is, my father doesn't have a PayPal account. My father called the number, thinking he had made a transaction. He was told that monthly transactions of $370 had been made to McAfee from his PayPal account. He does not have McAfee, either. The person on the phone call had my father's phone number, but my email address (another odd thing). The scammer wanted my father to tell them his credit card details. I have tried to explain to my father that scammers target elderly and vulnerable people, because they are most likely to comply with the scammer. Please talk to your elderly family members and try to explain this to them.

Caller: “PayPal”

Advised he was from PayPal and there was some suspicious activity on my account. Asked if was aware of a transaction of ≈$400. I hung up without saying anything and checked my PayPal account with no transactions of that value. Blocked the number

Unknown number so did not answer, no voice message left so guess it's not important

Claimed to be from paypal. Could only tell me easy information. Could not even tell me the date of my last transaction. The codes that where sent through from PayPal said they where for a password reset.

Hello, this is Amazon, about a purchase made from your Amazon Account. We have sent you a code on your mobile please tell us the code. (I do not have a mobile phone) She asked again, same reply.) What I never told her was, I had cancelled my Amazon account 6 months ago. And she walked straight into it.

Sounds dodgy....if you ring the number you will find it is 'not in service'.

Called me twice and I missed the call when I call back it tells me number is not in use
