Robocall. Recorded message stated, "Your personal details need to be confirmed" followed by "Press 1 for English, press 2 for Chinese." I pressed 1 and was promptly answered with "Ni Hao?" to which I replied, "I pressed 1 for English" and was promptly hung up on. When I attempted to call back, I was met with the smartphone equivalent of a "Not In Service" message, suggesting that the number was spoofed. I do this, incidentally, in case the spoofed number IS in service, in which case I like to inform the legitimate subscriber that their number is being abused in this way.

Caller: Call centre The caller was an obscenely abusive man for no reason. Because I wouldn't say whether my phone was Apple or not, he launched into violent and threatening abuse. I hung up, naturally.

Scam call they say they’re from Telstra and that my IP address has been hacked. I tell them Telstra is not my internet provider and ask them what physical address is the hacking at? They cannot answer. I keep asking them and they get frustrated and tell me to “shut up shut up” then hang up.
