Caller: Woman with an Indian accent

Caller said they were from Telstra Technical Dept. in Melbourne (NOTE: Area Code for Melb is 03 not 02) Claimed that there had been unauthorised access to computer and that she could help me fix that. Wanted me to access my Computer "Run" program and type in a number. She never asked if I was the Account holder and could not provide me with either my name or account number. When I questioned her about that and asked for her name as I wanted to verify this situation with Telstra before doing as she asked, she hung up.

INDIAN LADY SAID SHE WAS FROM NBN AND MY INTERNET WAS BEING COMPROMISED/ HACKED IE. UNAUTHORISED USE. I SAID I DIDN'T BEIEVE HER AND ASKED FOR HER SUPERVISOR. IHUNG UP. THEY CALLED BACK 92ND LISTED PHONE NO. - I IGNORED IT THEY CALLED A THIRD TIME SHE SAID SHE SAID WE WERE DISCONNECTED - HER SUPERVISOR CAME ON, AN NDIAN MAN - SAID I DIDN'T THEY WERE LEGITIMATE AS THEY DON'T KNOW ME AND I CHALLENGED THEM THE LADY TRIED TO BTT IN TO EXPLAIN BUT THE 'SUPERVISOR' ENDED THE CALL.
DEFINITELY A SCAM

All these calls are I believe overseas. I would like to know which carrier supplies these numbers to dirty rotten scammers. Ready to scam innocent Australians. This is where the Government should spend more money to catch these low line surety rotten scammers. Catch some of them put them in jail for a number of years to set an example to others, and maybe good Australians will not be scammed by these overseas rubbish animals.

Called me at 8am on a Saturday - claim to be from eBay customer service to authorise a payment. Definitely a scam.

Keep calling at random times throughout the day

I received a call from this number (Indian voice from a male) claiming to call regarding my Telstra Home internet account.
His English was poor and couldn't follow what he was talking about. I told him I was not interested in his call and he disconnected the call.

Ignore it as they are scammers.....

Claimed they were from commbank technical support but the indian accent gave it away. Lots of background noise too, so probably a scam call centre. Decided to waste their time till i got bored and had better things to do. Been getting a lot of these scam calls recently with 8526 as the first four numbers so might be worth being wary of those numbers. Being of indian background myself theres nothing more i hate than these guys. Don't forget to say "madar chod" if you ever come across these guys :) .

Keep calling me from Sutherland but keep hanging up when I answer. I keep blocking them but they call back on a slightly different number each time. No vm left.

Tried to tell me i had a Amazon payment and needed to confirm by giving details. I don't use Amazon

Scam message- saying they are from the Visa / Mastercard department.
