NSWRFSA - NSW Rural fire service charity ticket raffle call

Don't get me wrong. I'm a great supporter of the Rural Fire Service - these guys are awesome, do a fantastic job and, to quote the great Winston Churchill, "never have so many owed so much to so few". HOWEVER, I seriously resent outsourced call centres ringing up on behalf of RFS, and other charities, then just hanging up and/or not leaving a message. My voicemail has a message which states, "if you're trolling me for money etc, you're wasting your time". Unless you're happy to give to possible trolls, don't answer calls from this number. The prefix, "02 85 ..." is an immediate red flag for me. Charity call centres are a pain in the keester.

This number hung up when I answered. When I called it back, it said it was the SES Charity place. Do not believe it. This is a similar number to one scammers used earlier this year which ends with 57 instead of 82.

I get calls from this number too. I think if you have your number listed on the NoCall list or something similar charities can still call you sadly.

Sick of this number calling,no message left ringing several times every days, thought we had a telemarketing block but this and several other calls continue, have checked there number and they to are so called fund raising numbers

had the same thing happen - they call then when you answer they hang up

Its for fundraising guess they are checking old numbers because mine is private as well

They hang up when you answer hoping you'll call back. Don't bother.

This number looks sus to me because when I did a return call the message I got was cannot connect
