Just got a call from this number and it only rang a few times and stopped..

I get a lot of calls all starting with 8524 and then differing last four digits. All hang up on you and never leave a message. ??scam callers and not real charities. RFS does not make calls seeking donations over the phone or selling raffles . See their website. This is obviously a con using various numbers from one centre . Why doesn't the telecommunication industry fix this?

I got a call from this number asking for someone with the same surname as me when I asked who they were they hung up in my ear! who are they? I tried calling this pest back and I'm getting a disconnected recording from Optus?

I had a call from the FSSA looking to collect funds for volunteer fire fighters and to send raffle tickets in the mail.

I rang this number back, the message said "your number was called from our fund-raising department....." but no details as to who, why or what or from where.
