Rang me saying he wasn’t selling anything and asked me if i have personal insurance. I said no cause I’m not working and he immediately hanged up. No selling? Seriously?

don't even bother answering the phone. They asked me if I had personal insurance for a customer survey, I said no and then they try and sell me insurance instead.

They called back next day.

Definitely a call centre and they stay on long enough to leave a voice message , so one wonders if they've got shares in telstra , or do it just to harass .

I have learned not to answer when I don't recogise a phone number. Often seems the same caller from different numbers. Once I phoned back but the number was not in service. How come the phone system can be played like this?
