A pre-recorded message plays claiming from Tax Office and that arrest warrants are out for fraud. They want you to call back at the number.

Scam attempt from someone pretending to be from the tax office. Please do not believe a word of this as it is a complete load of rubbish.

My Step Mother received a call from this number advising her that the caller was from the ATO and that there was a Federal Court matter pending due to her in some kind of breach with her rental apartment. Who preys on 80+ year old people. Shame on them!!!

just received a recorder message pretending their are the tax office ,we own them tax(no amount $)we are blacklisted,warrant will be be issue,bla,bla,bla.just rubbish.ignore ,SCAM,Scam who are their ?

Just has someone pose as an ATO Officer, once I questioned them are you actually the ATO, lets just say they did not like that!

Prerecorded call pretending to be from tax dept. saying my accountant was blacklisted for fraud ... I hung up and didnt hear it all.

Just got the recording - called number got music then they hung up - what a nuisance

Do what i did and have some fun !!

Call them back and have a laugh , ask for their phone extension number and their main office number (not genuine ATO obviously) , ask for their ATO employee number , their visa card number, bank account details and anything else about them that takes your interest ( i.e home town - Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore etc).
they soon hang up - but its fun !!!!

This idiot scared the crap out of my teenage daughter who was hoem alone & had the pleasure of taking the call

the same happened to me , its a fraud

I called them and finally got through, asked them politely "How did you little bitches get my number" they just hung up on me. So rude
