Caller: This is SCAM ANZ phone calls

"This is ANZ bank for _________ (name of bank acct holder) pls press 1..." etc --
*every 2 hrs the same number (02) 8488 4908 consistently phoned me for 2 days now. It's not ANZ!!! Pls report it or ignore the calls.

NOT A SCAM.
This is the legitimate number for ANZ credit cards, it's just a god awful robot caller to tell you your card is past due, it even tells you your name and quotes the last 4 digits of your card. It's legit, just stupid and doesn't leave a message so just crank calls you 50 times a day

I think it is ANZ but it asks you for details like a scammer would. ANZs practice, in these scammer times, are far from best practice. ANZ do not send reminders befiore your payment is due, unlike AMEX which sends out a reminder 1 week before. ANZ is devoid of customer focus.

ANZ Bank confirmed that this is not an ANZ number.

Im a former credit card fraud officer and this is not how we work, at least the good ones dont act this way.

This is NOT a scam, it's ANZs crappy auto voice system staying your credit card balance is overdue.
It's terrible, it doesn't leave proper voice mail and always hangs up after like 3 words.

They ring my number constantly…. 3/4 times every day…. I don’t answer…. They can leave a text message if important

It is actually the ANZ its there very very stupid way of tell you your credit card account payment was insufficient. . Feels like a scam caller. Maybe ANZ intended it to sound scammy so you would ignore it. Who Knows??? Lets just put it this way. They charge exorbitant fees for late payments. Its a legit number. ANZ's very poor business practices and a terrible bank to deal with. Even their own staff on 131314 said the (02) 8488 4908 number was a scam caller!!!!

Not true. It is a scammer. I am not an ANZ customer and phone number is only 18 months old, so it wouldn't be in their system. It must be a robocaller.

Wow! Have had an account with them for years, they see wages paid regular, all bills paid regular, hmm a few dollars over the limit on the credit card and they have bombarded me for days with calls, so the $39.26 is paid now and I am still getting calls , I think the 40 calls i have had that go straight to a voice message are equivalent to the outstanding $39.26 so ridiculous and worst then that I have received several mailed letters about that $39.26 again, OMG! waste of time money effort! WHY????

I message ANZ through their app to ask if the number was them and their support said that number is a scam number and has been reported to them a lot.
