Robot call pretending to be the ATO. What is wrong with this country? Why can't we stop these pathetic scumbags from using Australian phone numbers? Why aren't they shut down immediately?

Claiming to be from ATO warrants for arrest and house under surveillance. So friend and I have been blocking our number and ringing them back the whole day pleading with them not to arrest us. Trying to tie them up so they dont scam the vulnerable! Total calls from us back to them 40+

Scam ATO message, as per previous entries

Had an automated call from this number stating I was being investigated for tax crime and to call back immediately. Called the number and they asked for a case number and name. Lots of background noise like a call centre. Hung up.

Same, recorded message saying from the ATO and there is a warrant. These idiots need to get a life

They left a computer generated voice message claiming to be the ATO and we and our property were now being watched.

Obvious a scam. The ATO does call people, but do not leave threatening messages like that.

Saw this number calling and did not pick up. Have received a scam call from either this or another number previously with the same theme.
