Ato fraud - do not confirm your identity. Indian / pakistan dialect. They could not confirm what state canberra was in. Police notified

Received this call/ voicemail threatning to get arrest warrant against me for doing ato tax fraud..$&@?!)$ it was computerised recorded msg.scared me to death.would report to police.

automated call from Commonwealth department for public prosecutions. S**t's getting real! How are we supposed to take any calls seriously any more?

fraud caller been called 4 times in one day from this number each time a different story about the ato or prosecution office i have reported to my carrier to block the number.

Same ting as above said i would be charged and before the court for my arrest , number is now blocked

Should go to the police, and Telstra should shut down that number.

He left a voice message. Supposed to be from ATO. "Before you get arrested by the local police department and the matter is referred to your local district court" which was a dead give away. If he really knew about the legal system here he would have mentioned the court by name. If he really knew me he would know which state I live in, and mention that state by name. He sounded Philippino. Scared the sh*t out of me for about 10 seconds.

Said they were police from ATO. Knew it was a scam and hung up.

They left a msge on my mob, threatening me with registering a case against me if I didn't call them back to clarify everything.
I called back, was not allowed to disturb their talking etc etc..
I have been dealing with ATO before and I know they would not speak to their "clients" like that at all.
In the end I was informed I would have a police at my door step in few days...

Called the number after an ATO message re outstanding taxes. Answered by John Bishop! I asked for their employment ID - their answer ‘FU’ and hung up. This is an active au landline number - can’t it traced?

Tax office scam

This is a scam. They say they are from the ATO and there is action against you. Trying to scare people. I told them it didn't make sense and that I would call the ATO myself.

Computer generated saying police will be called to my door please call back on a number I didn't listen to.
