Said they were from ‘survey Australia’ that I could look them up. Started asking me questions, what is your age bracket, do you think Sydney is expensive, do you expect to pay off your mortgage by 65. Answered more of their questions than I’d like to admit

Said he was with the Bank of Western Australia (there is no Bank of WA) and I'm in Sydney. Told him sarcastically that the call didn't sound like a scam at all and he stayed silent on the phone. Could hear a noisy call centre in the background. I asked what he wanted and he just said, "sorry?".

Caller stated they were a Technical advisor from Telstra. My phone's IP apparently was set from private to public and I would have all sorts of people trying to hack my account unless I followed her instructions. When I queried if she was from Telstra, she said Yes, I am definitely from Telstra. I advised that my service provider was NOT Telstra. She got very cranky with me, and accused me of "wasting her time" ! She then hung up.

Seems like this number has been reactivated by scammers 3 years after the last report on it. Don't know who it was. Didn't answer the call and they never left a message so I blocked the number

Says he is with Optus - knew my name. But the account isn't in my name. Then told me that they would be disconnecting my internet. Called it back and number is disconnected. How convenient

Voicemails sound like a very, very busy call centre background, but no message left, just hangs up after 15-20 seconds of background noise
