Caller: Someone claiming to be from Impact Research

In receiving multiple spam messages, and phone calls to my phone each day I initially received a call from Mali in West Africa (that I did not answer) as I do not know anyone from that part of the world. The callers number listed was +223 68 95 15 40.

Subsequently, and within three minutes another individual rang from the (02) 8381 0664 number claiming to be from Impact research and proceeded to ask a range of questions that I did not want to answer.

This individual knew my name and phone number and despite my concern proceeded into some spiel about the research that they were doing and would not answer my legitimate questions on: why they were calling; what company they really represented; and why they wanted to know this information? It would appear that their purpose was to harvest personal details about me.

I then ended the call, and upon the individual attempting to ring back I simply blocked their number.

Someone with Indian accent (noisy background) called out my name, I answered “yes” and then he just hang up on me. I blocked it

Apparent survey for cost of living in Australia.

Didn’t answer. Read look up reviews, have blocked.

Indian man named “Ash” wanting to tell me about solar rebate.

Missed call from this number, called back does not even ring. blocked number

I wouldn't bother cancelling your landline cos of it - I don't have a landline and I get regular calls on my mobile from this number.

the caller new my name (I didn't answer with my name) and claimed I had spoken to them about mortgages/my mortgage, then claimed my husband gave them my number (which he did not).
Assuming scam call as the info was BS
Don't know how they new my name though

Calls multiple times to give us hot water government rebate. Seen here that the also do solar, definitely seems fishy.

This number called my mobile 2x today. They did not leave a message and when I called back, there was no ringing sound and no answer. The call was ended at their end.

I asked if they could hold for a moment, went back to the phone 20 minutes later and they were gone, scamming dogs

No message....l could hear background noise...they hung up.....couldn't ring back....

Never leaves a message. When I return the call there is no dial tone. Spam.

Obviously a scammer. Delay before speaking, Indian accent, addressed me as Jessica (not my name - although I believe the person who had my mobile number before me, about 20 years ago, was called that) and then tried to tell me he was conducting a survey - NOT!!!
He is a stupid annoying moron - I am not. Told him to F off, hung up and blocked the number. Although I realise these people aren’t actually calling from real phones - they are using VOIP and calling from computers so telcos can’t trace them and block them.

Called and asked if I think Sydney is affordable. I hung up after that.

They call and then just left a voice message with a sound of tv in background and then just hang up.

Has called several times, but phone tells me its a potential fraud, so I don't answer. How do these potential frauder's get our phone numbers.
