Asked for my daughter (although called me) and said that my she was interested in earning a secondary source of income through share trading. I knew that my child had not done this and this was a scam. Told them i was an accountant with the ATO and that i knew a scam when i heard one.

Knew my name.
Scammers - be careful.

Called me about trading / second income etc.

Told them I was actually really interested, although to be honest I wasn't really trading *that* much nowadays as I was more usually entertaining close friends on my new yacht in the Cayman Islands, and ... <click>

called me at 6.30pm, complete scam. new my name and said i clicked an online ad and showed my interest in a second income, which I know i didnt do. she was pushy and rude when i said i hadn't done that and said she just wanted to ask me questions to screen for eligibility (i.e. she started asking personal details) and i hung up.

Tried the 'called wrong number' excuse when I said I was on the do not call register. I still reported them to ACMA. Hopefully something will get done with these timewasters.

They knew my full name, said something about me enquiringly about a second income. I told them the were scanners. I hung up. They rang straight back. Watch out for this, looks dodgy.
