Received phone call (Recorded Message) at 15:45 h to-day claiming: "Department of Human Services owes me back-pay which is now in Canberra, because I had not responded to their notifications to claim." Advice was to ring this phone number and make my claim, else I may lose the money. A reference number 080456 was also mentioned. Doesn't the Government have some really smart investigators that can track down the scammers? Why is this (sh*t) still going after two months? {Sorry - I meant (-hit +cam)}

Yes the toilet scum are at it again, claiming to be centrelink and wanting info on what pension I am on. - Supposed to be from Centrelink.

As with above comments, an application number is given and the phone number to ring. Checking the number on reverse Australia I found these comments from others. Definitely a scam which was previously tried on me some months ago. Definitely NOT Centrelink.

yea they rang me the twats I said how do I know they are from Centrelink they said go down to my local Centrelink asked for my cnr number I said I don't think so and hung up. idiots

Just had the same call from this number .. i hang up after listening to the bull . scammer . they should get a life instead of trying to rip us off of the little we have .

Received a message from a crude computer generated voice giving this number to call. They wanted personal details associated with CentreLink. Without being racist the voice I spoke to were difficult to understand and were from "Eastern sounding voices" . The ACCC confirm scam.

I also had call saying it was Centrelink. I thought that it was a scam and later called Centrelink who confirmed that it was.
