Caller from AMP asking for verification details on my account to confirm change of address request last week. Had an India accent so did not provide any details and reported to AMP.

AMP calling about my recent switch in superannuation fund. I did in fact request this as I updated my super the other day and got an email saying they may get in touch to confirm the withdrawal. Call was merely to confirm my new address and to inform me the transfer will go ahead within 3 working days. Heavy Indian accent indeed but that's about the only "red flag" of a scam here since they didn't request any sensitive info other than confirming my new address and sending a verification number over text.

Caller was from AMP Parramatta, ringing to confirm my recent request with AMP. This is their outbound number. They sent a code to my mobile, only name & dob provided.

This is the number that AMP use for outbound calls to members when they are working on member requests or need to speak to members. When I rang it back, it connected to AMP Super contact centre. Legitimate number

Caller claimed to be from AMP. She had an extremely thick Indian accent. Wanted to confirm account details after I changed my address online.

Asked for Dean H, they said they were from AMP not sure who or what that is
