They tried ringing me two days apart but I didn't recognise the NSW number so I didn't pick up. No message was left so I assumed it wasn't important. If others have tried to call back and the number was disconnected the number was likely 'spoofed'. I have now added the number to my blocked callers list.

That old "You have had an accident ..." spiel.
Don't fall for it, don't explain, just hang up.

An obvious Amazon-related scam call. Caller left a message saying that $1499 was to be debited from my Amazon account (which I don't have), and to press 1 to discuss or 2 to report.

"Telstra Support" wouldn't tell me my name or any account information. Obvious scam.

Said that my Amazon account was used to make a large purchase and they put the purchase on hold due to suspicious activity. Gave directive to press 1 (no reason) or 2 to report.

Called about internet connection being made from private to public, said they were from Telstra. I use Vodafone for my ISP, home internet is Internode. Asked them why Telstra is calling when I can just contact Internode or Vodafone for internet service queries. Typical Indian accent, speaking 20 words a second, couldn't hear anything he was saying.
Asked me what my IP address was.

I called back the number but it didn’t even ring, most likely a spoof number. Blocked!

I always know by the numbers who the scammers are, so I pick up the call but say nothing until they eventually hang up. They need to crawl back under their rock, annoying!

same old calling about an accident you had recently ..surely no one is stupid enough to fall for this moronic scam any more. Told them to grow up and think of something new.
