Missed calls from this number and similar ones starting with 8. When I try to call back I get a message saying the number is not connected. Somehow the "real" number that is calling is being disguised by a fake, unconnected number. Even if I block the "alleged" number the call comes from they keep calling back because it's only an unconnected number that I am able to block.

They call up saying that I have been in an accident when I haven't how dare they say that I was.

This is a scam. Says you’ve been in an accident and wants to help you with financial issues.

called back but was disconnected...no voicemail left...very fishy
