Caller: FAKE ING BANKING This number called me today and ALMOST scammed me out of alot of money!. There was a couple of red flags but he was very convincing. He said that my account had suspicious activity and needed to confirm it wasn’t me. All normal security checks etc. then he asked me to move all my money into my everyday account. When I asked why he had a confusing speech about why it needed to be done. I started to ask more questions. So to prove he was really an employee of ING bank he sent me a txt. He asked me to give him the code and that will allow him to block the suspicious transactions. The weird thing was when i received the txt, i scrolled up and there was 3 other messages that were from ING in there. I don’t know how he did that but i must admit he was pretty good. Smooth talker, confident. Mid 30s. Sounded Australian, very smart. Had a good way of communicating. Easy going but professional. It was honestly scary. Need to step the security online though, these scammers are getting better and better.

This was a person calling from 'ING' and have just scammed me $1350. It was a very convincing scam, where they confirmed my details with me.
