Received call from an Indian/Pakistani guy claiming he was from the Australian Tax Office and that legal action has been instigated against me for tax fraud.
DO NOT BELIEVE THIS GUY. IT IS A TOTAL SCAM. They want your banking details for legal reasons as to the tracing of monies in and out of this account.
HE IS A B.S Artist.

Same as previous reports - this is a scam - DO NOT RING THEM BACK.
The Australian Tax Office would not attempt to contact you in this way by phone.
Whilst it's a well known scam, people are still getting caught and parting with their cash to "avoid a problem" even when they don't think a problem exists!
WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS: why when there is a registered number to trace can't the Australian Federal Police, Telstra and Interpol not put their heads together and see that these slime balls are put out of business - and into prison (preferably at the bottom of the Atlantic or Indian Oceans - 50/50)?

I just received 5 threatening calls from this guy. whoo is now using another number as well!

Call claiming to be from CDPP re tax evasion. Have looked on line and it seems to be a scam. Did try to call this number but no reply. Probably a scam.

I have had 3 calls from this number in the last two days - but when I answer there is no person and after about 15 secs a recorded voice says "Goodbye". Very annoying
