Voicemail message left by a female with foreign accent regarding criminal case involving tax fraud and tax evasion. This is a scam. Do not return the call.

Message left on messagebank, female American accent: posing as a representative of the ATO, requests us returning call asap to prevent legal action against us & threats of large fines.

Male with Indian accent left threatening message from IQ Headquarters. Glad to get the feedback that it is a hoax. Left message Nov 9 on (02) 8310 6651. Will report to the police for follow up.

Same as Phil caller said from ATO and that a warrant had been issued etc etc, although when I called him out saying I knew he was a hoax call he became very abusive and threatening.

"My male caller had an American/Canadian accent. Said I had tax evasion and tax debt charges. Said to call the above number." couldn't understand who he was calling for.

Same as philh. Indian male(s) posing as an officer from the Australian Tax Office claiming I am in debt through fraudulent tax claims. Requesting if I want to settle this amount or take it "to the courthouse" telling me if I hang up there will be officers at the door within the next 35mins. I kept them on the phone as long as possible to prevent them calling their next victim.

Their spiel is elaborate but this is a scam.

When called, a male with Indian accent, posing as a representative of the ATO, requests information about our lawyers for the pending legal action against us & threats of large fines. Requests money to be transferred to an account.
