spam caller. beware

They make robot calls to try get you to give personal info for identity theft etc and also it seems the same or a related group group have begun spam texts since ignoring and hanging up on the calls, they try to get you to click on a link by saying it's voice mail or you have a package or that you need to click to get your QR code. Like web ads they tailor the cons to suit recent internet behavior to increase the chance of people falling for their fake texts, never click a link as you will instantly wind up with hidden malware or viruses on your phone collecting your private info passwords card numbers and can lead to identify theft or they may gain access to your bank accounts and transfer your money to offshore accounts. If you block the numbers or don't fall for them they randomly generate new numbers. I get calls and texts day and night and if you are smart you can always tell it's them if you recognise certain patterns, they may try to scare you and say your in trouble with the law to get you to give them something to go off like a tax file no. or anything they can use as a starting point to gain more personal info and use your identity to rip you off when they get enough of your info. Never speak never press a number on a call if told press 1 to get help or 2 to speak to someone etc or whatever they say, don't interact with them. Calling back a number or dialing a keypad prompt on their call or speaking (even just your name) or clicking or going to a link will all result in automatic hidden download of malware or viruses to your phone and any info like name address or anything unique to you can be used to find out and access info about you online and they will use that info to get more till they have enough about you to access your bank accounts etc and the malware or viruses will simply steal and send them confidential info about you to be used in similar ways by hacking your phone, the apps/viruses/malware are invisible to security apps etc. Don't speak or reply or click any links or you will be a victim to scams and there's no getting your money back once they transfer it from your account to over seas and move it from there. They are criminals and not anything to do with anything they claim such as legal stuff or gov etc, it's just a scare tactic to get info from you and remember they don't stop and change numbers if you don't respond. They are professional scammers and make a load of money selling your info to others and accessing your accounts or using your identity to get your payments sent to them if they find out enough about you. do not interact in any way or stay on their calls for longer than a few seconds. Be very careful these are bad people and they will keep trying so recognise the texts and hang up on the calls without saying anything... Good luck with everything, D.

Few second delay on phone line to connect.
I questioned the business, he seemed to get bored of my questions and said Don't Worry About It. Then hung up 🤣

They called me in the afternoon, I didn’t answer, I blocked their number.
Somehow they called again at 19:30 and left a message that went for 2 mins of breathing and heaps of background noise of workers on the phone talking

They call at 7 pm and again at 12.52am. I did not pick up and do not appreciate been woken up in the middle of the night!

Ive gotten so many calls from this number, months and months on end. Counted 25 calls in one day. I have answered a few times and told them im not interested and take me off their register but they continue to call. One particular night it was 8:30 pm when i got a call. Im just annoyed that they call outside of business hours or at all. Seems you can't have your privacy, eat your dinner , attend to a sick loved one. I have had a 2 second pause before anyone speaks. One time it sounded like a call centre and apparently about which power provider im with. They then tell me to stay by my phone after they hang up and wait until they call back, by this time its a private number. Why do they need to do this? In any case i didnt wait because i had to get to the doctors and in the waiting room they called me back from 02 area code. The person on the other end was agitated and having a go at me after already being told im busy and cant talk. Id already indulged them with my time on the first call. I got another 5 calls this particular day. What i don't get is the phone number starting 8287...im in south australia and my number begins with the same digits and you think its local but then theres the 02 added in front ( greater Sydney area code) . What's with this bull sh*te. I cant even block their number on my phone.

They keep calling but don't say anything. Just send me straight to voicemail. I try give them a call back and it send me to their voice message!! I'm f*cking sick of it.

Nuisance call. Blocked as I do with all other numbers . When is this going to stop. It feels like a casual job managing my own phone calls and filtering them.
