Caller: McNair Research I assume

Phone rang at 12.25pm on a Sunday, then hung up. Everytime they ring I tell them we do not do research and hang up

Caller: Mc Nair Research (02) 8287 0802

Said his name was Bill with a foreign accent from McNair Research, told me do not do research and hung up (took a bit to get a word in edgewise)

She told me who she was and from what company and I said we do not do research, thank you and good bye, trying to be nice

This is the reason why Australia has Firearm Laws - to protect inconsiderate cretins who have no respect for others.

Had a couple of calls from this number this week, how are these scammers allowed to cold call us? It should be illegal.

Block it on your phone & they can't call you again

The company blurb says they get to call silent and do not disturb calls, however you can tell them not to call your number....... WTF?? What do you think having a silent number or being on a Do Not Disturb list means?

Number came up after 8pm. I don’t know anyone from 02 phone area so ignored it. I’m not answering any numbers I don’t know because it’s usually a scammer or survey that I don’t want to deal with.

what he said. Some c*nt hangup, likely harvesting phone numbers to sell to scammers and or power companies (or are they one and the same lol)

called me at 8 o’clock at night saying it was a emergency that my dad was at the hospital and they needed my details

I’m unlisted and on the do not call register. He immediately said my number was randomly chosen. Bl&*#y nuisances who need to be stopped. Blocked the number.

Ring everyday for a week, never leave a message.

Hi John. Clearly not educated on the Do Not Call Register; it is only illegal for Telemarketers to call. McNair is a survey company and it is perfectly legal for them to call the Do Not Call list as well as private numbers. Reporting them will do nothing, just be polite and ask to not be called again. If you ask; and then they call again THEN and ONLY THEN are they breaking the law and you may report them. Regards.

I hung up. Thanks slysnake96 - who listed numbers from these guys, now blocked on my phone! Although it sounds like slysnake96 works for them!
There should be 'do not call' register for research companies. I hang up on them every time, it would also be in their interest not to call and waste time on people like myself that will never participate.

Just took a call, it was from McNair Research. Professional political market research (not political party calling), with appropriate questions. Asked my permission, and questions were done in under 2 minutes.

Market research company.
I'm on the Do Not Call register, but still they feel they can rudely interrupt my day and impose on my time for an 8 minute survey.
My opinion For FREE!!!!!!
They are being paid handsomely for my opinion.
Added to my ever increasing blocked list

I answered and attended their survey once, was so naive at that time. They will gather your info and sell it to what so called charity groups. I was spammed in in the next few months asking for donation
