Caller: AGL?

Had a few missed calls from this number. Decided to call the number back and discovered it was AGL. They had all my details etc and wanted to know if I had GAS connected at the property...and whether I was interested in a better GAs plan. I advised him that I do not have GAS connected and that was pretty much the end of the conversation. I contacted AGL on 131 245 and reported the phone call to the AGL Customer Care Team. Extra security confirmation confirmation procedures are now in place for when I am contacted or need to contact AGL direct.

They said they were AGL and maybe they were an outsourced wing of AGL. However, it was an atypically very noisy call centre and the line kept going dead. I did not trust them and told them I would go and get my AGL bill and call the number on there as I didn't recognise this number they had called on and I didn't think it was very professional to have the line go dead so much, and so much noise in the background. The caller tried hard to keep me on the line with him, which I don't think AGL staff would do - I think they would encourage me to be cautious.

Said they were AGL hardship to talk about recent arrangements. I refused to confirm private information.so they gave me another number to call them back on.

Probs AGL due to me having a payment arrangement made for me via my financial counselor, at the end of the day, leave a VM, send SMS or email and unless I've missed a payment - don't call -Oh and im working - full time, so dont call at 930am when you full know im working 9-5 mon to fri
