Received calls..no messages left..Is this a scam pretending to be AGL?

I received two calls yesterday during work, and when I tried to call back, I couldn't hold the line long enough and hung up. I just missed the call again just now, so called back. It was just some guy (I didn't catch his name clearly) saying that I had good electricity usage and if I needed gas. I've mentioned several times in the past 8 months of living in this property with other callers that this property didn't have gas. He mentioned how good my electricity usage was and that they'd send through details. This could've been an email. Because of the amount of calls, I thought there was an issue with my account and wasted time trying to call back. If he didn't say he'd send through deals via email, I'd have asked him to anyway. I never even received the email, so I'm not even sure if this is a legitimate number.

It appears there is a consensus that this an Indian call center trying to up sell AGL products to likely candidates. AGL has proved to me that they are money hungry grubs who offer great deals to get you in then break them no matter how prompt you are with your payments. pity the caller didn't call when I was free they would have got a piece of my mind. Avoid AGL at all costs they aren't worth the trouble.

Called me four times today (so far) starting at 9:43am and most recently at 6:01pm. No messages left. No emails sent. Called back and never any answer.

AGL, indian call centre answers, hung up and called back, someone "Alvarez" unavailable...

Possible spam, rang on two separate days, no message left.
