'they' (its automated) hang up as the purpose is to confrim the phone number is valid/working so now they have confirmed someone will answer you may start getting more calls. best to never answer them.

Rang at 7.19pm on a Monday night. A Sydney sourced number (I don’t live in Sydney). Did not answer and they did not leave a message. Scammers or telemarketers
