Anytime someone does not reply after I answer a call ( the 3 second rule) I just put my phone down & waste their money.

What is the point of them ringing and hanging up? Or not answering when you call back? Nuisance/telemarketers calls are one thing - at least you can tell the person at the other end to go away, but this is just pointless!!!

Caller: Indian accent, man claiming to be called Oliver , talked about insurance.

Call from this number from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be called Oliver.
The questions he immediately asked me appeared that he was trying to get me to say 'yes' . I just asked him what he wanted. Was something about Insurances , whether I had a life insurance policy (again a yes or no answer question).
I think he said the company was Optimal and his call was a curtesy call (making out I was already a customer of theirs...)
I just hung up. Normally I don't pick up numbers I don't know, but I was expecting a call from someone else so answered as it was a Sydney number. Time wasters and potentially up to no good perhaps? (because why were all his questions only answerable with yes or no? )

RE: the silence then hang up, a friend had a theory that they are phishing for old people, so the next time they rang he tried to sound old and they answered !!!

Also, I mostly get these from 028 numbers but also had 038 and 048 numbers.

Same as everyone else. They ask if we have enough insurance. When I say we are covered and not interested they say, "can I just say something". I told them they are free to say what they want, but I am not interested - then they hang up.

so dam pissed off they keep calling leaving no message as someone else stated change a few numbers and back again ringing ,sick of blocking this crowd...is there anyway to have them not ring at all even in blocking ?

answer phone and call hangs up, maybe because they are calling me on a work phone but not trained to have the courtesy of speaking. As per the complaint left on 6th April by another complaints person, I now have the name of the companies and can make sure I never sign up for anything with them, I will also put on facebook to spread the word of these companies with bad practices.

Same as everyone else. Calls start about 2:30, & then keep calling. I’ve blocked so many of these numbers. You answer & get no response. Maybe we should all start calling the parent company listed in other post. Waste there time and money.

For goodness sake...every flipping night, around same time...i block number, they change it & continue ..seriously over it, they don't even talk. just mumble & expect you to call back.
