I had a message left on my home phone stating that I had a criminal case against me for tax evasion and fraud. If I did not ring back straight away I would be facing the legal consequences. Almost identical message was also left from (02) 8103 2027. Beware!

Also got 2 calls (Perth) from an American voice saying serious case involving tax fraud. Phoned the (02) 8103 2012 number he gave, and an Indian voice answered & claimed he was ATO. I challenged him that he was not ATO. He hung up. Definite scam.

ATO scam called yesterday & today advising I was under investigation for tax evasion . I don't think so

This is the fake ATO tax scammers. Ringing us every single day leaving stupid messages saying we owe money to the ATO and they want us to call back with our bank details. How stupid do they think we are. I am reporting this no to police.
