A company by the name of Global Contact Partners is attributed to this number. Possibly testing for active phone numbers across a range, i.e. active phone numbers are ones that are answered when called and then generating a list to sell to other companies.

Called back to find out. I didnt get the name of this company. I was put on hold as soon as I called.

rang 4 times then hung up. I happened to be at desk with computer at the time so was able to qucikly check this number. thanks to everyone input I did not answer the call and put number on block now.

Obviously a telemarketer, but not a scam. You don’t have to block the number. Just ask for them to remove your number from their call list and legally they have to.
