These people have rung me a number of times in the space of a week, from 3 or 4 different numbers. I don't answer them and the only way I know it is the same people is through checking sites like this....

Insurance, they have called my 15 year old son multiple times this week asking for John Smith then going in to a life insurance spiel.

Rang twice in 1 hour and both times I answered with silence. The third time, within another hour I said "Hello" and was presented with a sales speech about life insurance.
