Can anyone tell us exactly who these people are and what they are up to- they keep calling my mobile but only a select number of people have my mobile number!

I just received another call from thse guys....
whenever i receive a call from a strange number on my mobile I always run it through the reverse Australia website to find out who it is.

We all need to pass this information onto our family and friends and everyone else...it is a scam. We need to be very careful.

This number calls my mobile phone up to three times a day. They never leave a message. I do not answer calls from numbers I don't know as I feel if it is important they will leave a message! I also have my mobile and home phone numbers on the do not call register.

If this number is from suncorp, then suncorp has to do something about their call centre. If the call I received was an official call from suncorp then they have to identify themselves. I just received 3 phone calls from the same number and no MSG was left. Very in professional

This number calls me at least 3 times a day. I haven't answered yet. How do I get them to stop calling me.

It's a call centre, on behalf of Suncorp Insurance. The girl was enquiring as to whether we were interested in the Suncorp Funeral Plan that Suncorp had sent us in the mail. My answer was No!

insurance coy employees are being given big bribes to give your policy details to criminals who want to rob u. So tell police about these calls & tell them which ins coy ur with. We know people who kept getting these calls & were robbed. Crims can instal a tracking device on ur mobile even if u dont answer their call. And crims phone ur work & if ur there they then phone home landlines & if get answering machine or noone answers they send mates to rob u. Tell police about these calls & set up neighbourhood watch with all neighbours in vicinity & ask everyone to take photos on mobiles of suspicious people & car rego numbers. Set up video security cameras as well.

Everyone who is getting calls from this no. should report it to police. Why? Because employees of insurance companies are illegally selling your details to criminals who want to rob you. If you have a contents policy you are very at risk because insurance company employees know whats in your home & sell this info to robbers. Insurance companies ask policy holders for their phone nos. Criminals bribe employees for these nos. & addresses of contents policy holders. Criminals then phone you at work first to see if you are there. Even if they have to go through a switchboard & receptionist they know if your at work because why would the receptionist say your in if your not & criminals will hang up before you answer your extension. So warn your receptionist. When they know your at work they then phone a landline & if they get an answering machine or noone answers they send one of their friends to rob you. If insurance company has a mobile no. for you the criminals can instal a tracking device in your mobile just by phoning you & you need not even have answered the call & the location tracker shows them if your not at home. tell the police & write letters to both the police & head office of the insurance company about this & don't let them fob you off because we know people who were robbed after getting these calls. Make sure you tell police which insurance company your with. Instal video security cameras inside & outside your home or ensure someone is home all the time. Also organise a Neighbourhood Watch program with all neighbours up & down your street & neighbours at the back as well. You can do this even if you live in flats & units & make sure you know who all your neighbours are all the time. Don't forget tenants move out so introduce yourselves to new tenants & get car rego plate nos. for all neighbours.

I had the same issue. When I answer they hang up?

I have had many phone calls, sometimes twice a day on my mobile.Never to my home phone or answering machine, and always during business hours.I never answer my mobile at work.What kind of people would set about doing the same thing, the same way every time and expect a different result? I am never going to answer the phone during the day obviously by now.They need to stop.

Keep getting this number calling me on my work landline. Silence on the other end. When you ring it back it is something about Suncorp Insurance. Definitly SPAM!

I received on on my mobile. Called it back from a landline and got a message that says they are the "Direct Call Centre" calling about Insurance products & Services on behalf of Suncorp

This number has called twice daily for the last week. I can block my land line but not my mobile. Should be added to the 'do not call register'.

5 calls in 1 week. No answer.

They call everyday since a week. When I answer the phone, they hang up. Cowards! They should at least tell us who they are

These phone calls are coming from robbers. Criminals access insurance company records, especially contents insurance policies & so know if there is something valuable at addresses of policy holders. The insurance company asks for a business hours address to contact policy holders on so these criminals know where to phone you to see if you are at home. First the criminals phone you at work  & if you answer they then phone your home landline to see if someone answers there & if they get an answering machine or noone amswers the  home phone, they send someone to check if there is actually noone at home & rob you. If the insurance company has a mobile number for you they can instal a tracking device into your mobile phone  just by phoning you. The instalation happens even if you don' t answer your mobile. They track your location via mobile numbers & know if your not at home & then rob you. So everyone should report getting these phone calls to the police (crime stoppers department or whatever they call  it in your State) & don't forget to tell the police the name of your insurance company so the police can track which insurance company's records are being targetted. Some employees of insurance companies are selling your information to criminals. Also criminals are hacking into computer records of insurance companies. Don't let the police or insurance company fob you off & write letters as well as phoning the police especially if you have been robbed after getting these phone calls. Instal video security devices all around your home inside & out like we have & try to ensure there is always someone at home as well & organise "Neighbourhood Watch" with neighbours all around you & up & down your street & surrounding streets so that someone is likely to get photos of them & their vehicles.

I have received 2 to 3 calls everyday for the past week, so sick of it. Can we please stop this happening somehow. I am thinking of charging them of harassment !!!!!!!!!!!! Also how did they get my mobile No?
