i just called this number: (02) 8207 9000 (as noted above by Doc)and asked for my number to be removed from their list. The lady said it will take a couple of days, and i wont be contacted again! We'll see what happens...

I just got one too.I said hi and then they hung up.Called back just to get the same message as everyone else.

(listed 4th May, 2010)Thanks for the helpful info I've had my number removed - the lady said that the calls are automated through a machine which calls a bunch of numbers at the same time and the first number from the handful is who speaks to someone. She said the machine then will automatically hang up on hung up on every other number who answers after it.

perhaps they intend to leave a message and get you to retrieve it from your telco message service, which you would pay for.

i would really appreciate your help here....as i got call from them...then i called on 82079000...they said that yes we are marketing company. Then they give me their call centre number which is 1300 131 103...where we can find out which comapny is giving our details away to this s**t marketing companies. Any way i thought i should drop this info to you guys...just in case....hope this will help. Regards, Real Aussie :)
