why all the fuss jus pick the phone up and say hello answer yes or no is that hard to do???

I'm on the do not call register so was interested to see this.

I had been receiving a call from this number about 8 times for the last week.
It did tend to be around the same time, and would hang up when I answered.

Today I did get a human voice on the other side.

It turned out to be CBA marketing Life Insurance products.

I did make complaint about the nuisance calls, and told it arose from their automated service as an error.

Recommend all users requesting to be taken off future contact list.

I had exactly the same issue...3 times a day from the same number.

I have spoken to someone from this company.
Call the number (02) 8114 9700 and go through to 2Evolve call centre.
I spoke to a guy called Kieren and he said that it is to do with Amnesty international - so if you've signed a petition or something like that in the last few months this would be why....
I advised him I have not signed anything and want my number taken off the call cycle IMMEDIATELY!

I would suggest ALL to call the above number & advise them this is happening.....

Got a call from this number. Heard people talking to each other over the line (not to me) they seemed to be laughing and after about 20 seconds they hung up.Very rude. If they are telemarketers they are completely unprofessional and probably just letting calls ring and then hanging up after an arbitrary amount of time so that they can claim to their bosses that they are working and the calls logs will back them up.A**holes!

got a call from this number today... no message left, so again, if it was important a message would be left. assume it's safe to ignore all future calls from that number.

I never pick up a number I don't recognise. At the beginning I was quite annoyed when they called persistently a few times a day, now it gives me a satisfaction of a sort - "call as much as you want, I will never pick it up anyway".If someone has a business, they will leave a message.had 2 ph calls from 80946220 in the past 2 days.

At least I now know this is one big scam.  Three phone calls each week day for three weeks and no message.  Seriously dodgey.
