They keep calling me and won't stop! I called the number back on another phone and it said it was Avon, a recorded message. I've never bought Avon in my life! so search me why they keep calling. leave me the hell alone - i say!

It is a telemarketing trick.People's curiosity gets the better of them and they call the missed call number displayed. You are then answered by an IVR. Best solution is not to call back numbers you don't recognise. If it's important they wouldn't hang up. In effect they are making you pay for a telemarketing call.

It's yuck! They call me several times per day since two weeks ago and never say anything. How can they get people's number?

everyday for a month now they will call. it's annoying and I'd like to know why/how they have my number. Pestering isn't the best marketing ploy.
